UK ZAMBIANS TO CELEBRATE HERITAGE
To mark Zambia’s 52nd independence anniverssary, on Saturday 22nd October 2016 Zambia Christian Overseas Fellowship (ZOCF) will stage the biggest event in the history of Zambians living in the UK to celebrate a proud history of freedom and peace.
According to the 2014 Global Peace Index (GPI), Zambia only ranks third behind Mauritius and Botswana in the most peaceful country index in the Sub-Sahara Africa region.
Simon Nkole the Publicity Secretary said 22nd October 2016, which will just be 2 days before the official day of independence on 24th October 2016 is a special day in the history of Zambia.
“For all Zambians, we look back into history with pride and into the future with hope”, said Simon.
Various artists including one of the most celebrated gospel singers Rachael Nanyagwe who has been invited all the way from Zambia will grace the occasion, children will also have fun in secure halls at the venue with their own activities to keep them busy and well entertained.
The venue has also parking spaces and a cheap fee parking council spaces just outside. The organizers have also invited the Local Mayor of Coventry and top Zambian officials from the Zambian Embassy who have all confirmed attendance.
The celebrations will take place in Coventry at Queen Baptist Church, this venue has a capacity sit 600 people and many people have bought tickets to attend.
