World Bank hails Zambia’s economic performance
The World Bank is impressed with Zambia’s economic performance and growth rate which revolves around 5.5 percent annually.
World Bank Country Director Kundhavi Kadiresan says the global bank is now determined to go beyond providing technical and financial support to Zambia by assisting the country in tackling its challenges.
Ms. Kundhavi has told Qfm News that Zambia has the potential to eradicate the increasing poverty levels which stands at about 70 percent in rural areas and 60 percent nationally.
She has therefore noted that the recently launched Zambia economic brief will help the country and government at large, to consolidate the economic gains made and provide a basis for countering its challenges.
