UNIVERSITY of Zambia lecturer Rose Nyondo declines ACC job

UNIVERSITY of Zambia lecturer Rose Nyondo has decided not to take up her nomination as a commissioner at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The parliamentary select committee was to scrutinise Sister Nyondo’s appointment today.She was nominated to serve as one of the commissioners at the ACC.
But in a letter addressed to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Sr Nyondo said she was withdrawing from being considered for ratification for appointment as commissioner.
“I wish to advise that after serious consideration of my personal status, I hereby withdraw from being considered for ratification for appointment as commissioner on the Anti-Corruption Commission,” Sr Nyondo said.
She said she is grateful and humbled that she was considered for the important assignment adding, that she is ready and willing to serve in some other public office.
