By Zumani Katasefa
EX-PF national youth Secretary Eric Chanda has said that government’s national youth economic empowerment initiative has not benefited youths in the country.
Mr Chanda said the initiative have been carried out selectively.
“The initiative has being done in unfair manner, it has only benefited those in the MMD,” Mr Chanda said.
He further demanded that President Banda’s government should ensure that majority of youths in the country also benefit from the government housing empowerment scheme.
“It is unfortunate that President Rupiah Banda’s government has no plans for the youths,” he said.
And Brian Mutale a concerned youth said government should also consider that youths benefited from natural resources that the country is blessed with.
“Government should consider give us land, we need land as youths. We are seeing that only foreign nationals are getting land, while still remain squatters in our own land, this is bad government should do something,” he said./ENDS
