Charity 2000 – 2009

 Butterfly Tree

Finally we cannot forget the tremendous contribution and change of life that this lady is bringing to Zambia. Jane donated £250,000 this year alone through her charity The Butterfly Tree to the people of Mukuni Village. Alongside this amazing amount, the charity sent as much again in donated medical, education supplies, clothing, blankets and equipment. Kaye-Bailey

The lives of thousands of people in the Mukuni Chiefdom and their facilities have been improved with this funding. Over twenty villages and six schools received support from the charity and communities throughout Zambia benefitting from the educational DVDs
 
The Mugurameno Charitable
 

The Mugurameno Charitable Trust has raised huge amounts in aid of the orphans of Mugurameno Basic School in Chirundu, near Livingstone in Zambia. 

The Mugurameno Charitable Trust is run by Jenny and Simon Cooke whose efforts include a charity musical event appropriately themed “UNPLUGGED FOR MUGURAMENO” which featured legends of the blues, rock ’n’ roll and British pop music, to raise funds.

Contesa Charity

Contesa Charity has raised thousands of pounds to run charitable projects which include schools and the provision of healthcare to HIV/AIDS orphans and other underprivileged children in Zambia.

 

Contesa was founded by Mrs Esnart Phiri Avon who holds a high society fundraising Charity Ball each year in Bournemouth, to benefit the Zambian children.
